ARTHUR PATZER Arthur was born on May 19, 1931 in Minitonas, MB. The eldest son born to Reinhold Patzer and Ida Jeske. His childhood was spent growing up on the family farm and in fall of 1959 he moved to Winnipeg with his parents. In 1978 he was employed at the Winnipeg Convention Centre where he worked until his retirement in 1996. A family tradition of Friday night family gatherings was the highlight of his work week, as well as for all his nieces and nephews. At a wonderful family celebration of his sister Lydias 50th anniversary this past week, we are left with our final memories of him as he suddenly and peacefully passed away June 14. He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Ida Patzer; two brothers; and two brother-in-laws, George Morgan and Robert Kaufman. Left to mourn his passing are his family and their families, Irene and Garvin Schabert, Anne Morgan, Lydia and Alex Betcher, Eric and Trudy Patzer, Gladys Kaufman, Evelyn and Ernie Kruschel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
