BIENVENIDO G. FAJARDO Peacefully with his loving family at his side, Bienvenido G. Fajardo passed away Monday, June 17, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Alberto Fajardo and Flora Godoy who were from Bulacan, Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Luz; and children, Floracita (Ben) Sy, Susan (Raul) Serrano, Andy, and Janet. He also is survived by his sisters, Antonia Fajardo, Ligaya Gloria, Teresita Mendoza who are in the Philippines, and Carmen Dela Cruz (Winnipeg). He left behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren here in Canada and in the Philippines. Bienvenido was born May 6, 1930 in Bulacan, Philippines. He arrived in Canada in 1970, and was one of the first Filipinos here. He started a business called "Bens TV and Radio." Ben was a well-respected man and had many friends in the community. He was a kind and generous man who never asked for anything in return. He was a very good father and a loving husband. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff of GD4, Central Dialysis Unit and Sherbrook Dialysis Unit of Health Sciences Centre for the care and support that was given to Ben. Lamay will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Thursday, June 20, 6:00 to 12:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 6:00 to 1:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, June 22, 10:00 a.m., also at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Old Rugged Cross, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
