JAZMINE ERICA GUZMAN SILASTRE Tragically on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at the Childrens Centre, Jazmine Erica Guzman Silastre entered into her eternal rest, to join the angels in heaven at the age of seven years old. Jazmine leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her father Samuel and mother Elaine; Dada Jay; brother Justin; and stepbrother Matthew. She will also be lovingly remembered and forever in the hearts of her Nanay Emy Guzman, Lola Inga; titos, and titas, Benny, Tess, Jojie, Flor, Willy, Eloisa, Bheck, Juanito, Rosa, Rey, Pie, in The Philippines. Jazmine also leaves behind her titos, and titas, Nila, Tony, Paul, Linda, Marlyn, Freddie, Ana, Orling, Eddie, Ning-Ning, Belen, Rodolfo, Carlos Jr., Adelina, Carie, Lito, Arsenio, Eunice in Winnipeg; as well as numerous cousins in The Philippines, Canada and abroad. Jazmine will be welcomed in heaven by her Tatay Flor Gusman and Lolo Carlos Salistre, Sr., who both predeceased her in The Philippines. Lamay will be held on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23 from 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. midnight (with prayers at 9:00 p.m. both nights) at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., with Msgr. Maurice Comeault P.H., V.F. presiding. Interment will follow in the "Garden of Angels" at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Jazmines godparents, relatives, friends, classmates, teachers, principal, vice-principal, parent council, paraprofessionals at Elwick Community School, Guidance Counsellour, Resource Teacher, people at the accident scene, Soapies Car Wash, Jim Gauthier Chev-Olds, and all the doctors, nurses and staff in emergency at the Childrens Centre, the Chaplain at the H.S.C., and Pastor Fred Velasco for all their prayers, love and support at this, the saddest time of our lives.
