KATIE GUSHULAK Peacefully with God looking on, Katie Gushulak passed away at the Vita Personal Care Home on June 18, 2002 at the age of 80. Born in McMunn, MB Katie was the daughter of the late Harry and Paraska (Kaziuk) Chubey; also predeceased by her late husband Elia; son John; sisters, Anne Kowaliuk and Mary Zawada; as well as brothers, Mike, Andrew and Steve; and other dear friends and relatives. Those closest to her will especially miss her and cherish each memory of their times together, daughter Marusia (John) Pacheco; sons, Walter (Jean) and George; grandchildren, Blair, Tracie, Drew, Dori Ann, Faith and Hope. Also left to mourn her passing is brother Bill; and sisters, Helen (John) Hirschfield and Nettie (Nick) Boychuk; and many nieces and nephews. Mom was always there for us and always welcomed friends and relatives into her home for perogies and cabbage rolls. She cherished birthdays, Easter and Christmas. Our family wishes to express our thanks to the staff at the Vita Personal Care Home. You cared for her dearly and gave her the will to live. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of our hearts. Pallbearers are Blair Pacheco, Tracie Pacheco, John Pacheco, Drew Gushulak, Dori Ann Gushulak, Dale Chubey, Faith Gushulak and Hope Gushulak. A service will be held at the Piney Community Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21. Interment to follow at the Menisino Cemetery. Lunch at the Piney Community Hall.
