ALICE LEONA (LEE) KOMUS (nee McKEE) Born in Digby, NS on April 11, 1928 Lee Komus passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband William John, a daughter Gloria Jean, sister Betty Joyal, and brother Victor McKee. Lee leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her sons, Bill Komus and Glenn Komus and his wife Barb; her daughters, Brenda Mitchell-Preston and her husband Eddie Bartmanowicz, Linda Komus, and Diana Stokes and her husband Doug; grandchildren, Damon Mitchell, Jesse Preston, Melissa Komus, Kevin Komus, Cameron Stokes and Sabrina Stokes; as well as numerous other relatives and good friends. Lee will be remembered by her family and friends for her open and affectionate nature, unconditional support and keen interest in the lives of everyone she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moms memory to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J2 as tokens of remembrance. Prayers will be held Sunday, June 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
