Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN VICTOR RUBASHEWSKY Peacefully, on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the Red River Place Nursing Home, John Rubashewsky, aged 69 years, formerly of Lockport, MB. John was predeceased by his wife Ethel; sister Vicky; and parents, Walter and Pauline. He is survived by his loving wife Angie; 10 children, Edward (Debbie), Donna (Mike), Bev (Ron), Craig (Sherisse), Susan (Blake), Glen (Carla), Sid (Roxanne), Cindy (Gary), Wendy (Brad) and Trevor (Misty) 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Emil (Mary), Russell (Donna) and Bill (Irene) his sister Margie; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. John worked at Amsco, retiring after 25 years. He enjoyed camping and travelling, but he especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 8:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Andrews Anglican Church, with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. His pallbearers will be Ron Harding, Barry Mayba, Glen Kormilo, Howie Dear, Jamie Peebles, Melvin Saunders. Special thanks to the staff at the Red River Place Nursing Home for all their care and compassion shown to John. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johns name can be made to the St. Thomas Church Building Fund. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
