CHRISTINA WAKE (nee ELSWORTH) With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Christina, beloved wife of Percy Wake. She slept away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at the Grace Hospital following a brief illness. She was in her 89th year. Christina was a devoted wife and caregiver to Perc, and a wonderful aunt. Besides Perc, those who mourn her loss are her sister-in-law Flora; nieces, Patricia and Marion (Henke) and her family, husband Gord and children, Meagan, Matthew and Kristen; as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Angus and Marion; her stepmother Mary; and her dear brother Roy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Paul The Apostle, 2400 Portage Ave., with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. She had a courageous spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our family would like to express our gratitude for the gentle, compassionate care Christina received from the 4th floor staff of the Grace Hospital.
