BONG JAE YIM Peacefully on June 16, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital in Thunder Bay, ON, Bong Jae, aged 66, passed away. He was predeceased by his parents. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Chung Mi; daughter Dr. Brenda Yim and her husband Dr. John Copen; son Johnsoon and his wife Tricia and precious granddaughter Tasha; son Keysoon; brothers, Ho Jae and his wife Soon Ok and Young Jae and his wife Soo Kyong; as well as two sisters, Hee Jae and Soon Jae. Born in Seoul, Korea, Bong Jae came to Canada in 1967 and was a successful self employed businessman who retired in 1997. He was a proud supporter and volunteer of the Korean Community in Winnipeg, as well, he was a board member of the Korean Heritage Society. He was an associate member of the Korean Veterans Association. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23 from 7:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
