GERALD FRASER EISTHEN On Saturday, June 15, 2002 Gerald went to his eternal rest, with Elsie and niece Brenda at his side. He was born on February 22, 1929 in Tilston, MB. He was predeceased by his parents George and Jessie Eisthen; one sister Jessie Budd (Harry), and five brothers, Albert, Russell, David (Margaret), Jack (Glenn), and Roy. He is survived by one sister Elsie Hink of Morden and one brother Alec Eisthen (Kathy) of Tilston; two sisters-in-law, Glenn Eisthen and Phyllis Jones of Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews. He was raised on the farm at Tilston with his parents. Gerald spent 21 years with Rudy and Elsie and their family at the farm in Miami. He then lived at a hobby farm south of Morden and worked at the Winkler Rehab Centre, before moving to the Rock Lake Personal Care Home, for the last happy six years of his life. A memorial service will be held July 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rock Lake Personal Care Home. His graveside service will be held on June 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Cook at Tilston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Rock Lake Personal Care Home 115 Brown St., Apt. 27, Pilot Mound, MB, R0G 1P0 or to the Tilston Cemetery Fund, Box 35, Tilston, MB, R0M 2B0.
