EILEEN JOAN MOWAT Eileen a beloved special friend and cousin passed away peacefully at the age of 64 years on Friday, June 21 at Health Science Centre after a four month struggle with cancer. Eileen trained as a Lab Technologist at Misercordia Hospital, then worked at Deer Lodge Centre for 30 years, making many lasting friendships along the way. Eileen was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to all of us. Eileen had many trials and tribulations through the years but overcame them without any complaints. She was predeceased by her parents. She has cousins from coast to coast and in the United States. She will be missed by her very special cousins, Lois and Mike in Douglas, MB. Lois was like a sister that Eileen never had. They had their daily phone calls at 6:00 p.m. and on weekends they would do a large crossword puzzle and share many laughs. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Cancer Care and 4H Ward at Health Sciences Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. Interment and reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
