NORMAN BRENT WOOD (WOODY)
Date of Passing: Jun 19, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN BRENT WOOD (WOODY) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Norman Brent Wood, on Wednesday, June 19, 2002, in Ottawa, ON. At 55, he was on the threshold of a new lease on life. Unfortunately, this was not to be. He is survived by wife Kathy; children, Evelyn (Brian), Wallace (Beckie), and Cindy (Jason). His grandchildren, Tamara, Ariel, Kevin, Michael, and Patrick, were his pride and joy. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his siblings, Eunice (Merlin), Bruce (Carol), Jessie (Ivan), Jennie, Rosanne (Don) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His parents, Roy and Beulah Wood; his brother Wallace; and some infant siblings predeceased him. He loved life in the country, which prompted him to give up his career in the Canadian Armed Forces, start a small farm in Rosa, and work with the Highways department, until forced by ill health to retire. He then was able to spend more time with his children and grandchildren, for which we are grateful. At Woodys request, there will be no formal service. His remains have been cremated, and will be scattered in a private family ceremony at a later date. If friends so desire, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Vita Funeral Home 425-3114 is in charge of the arrangements.
