MARY OSADCHUK (nee HENZEL) 1907 - 2002 Peacefully, June 21, 2002 at Concordia Hospital, our beloved mother and baba passed away at the age of 94. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Alice, Paul (Martha), Anne (John), Mike (Evelyn), Peter (Lorraine), and Ted (Elaine) along with her 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Also her sister Pat Andreiw, brother Joe Henzel, and son-in-law Nick Yacentiuk. She was predeceased by her husband Nick, her daughter Stella Yacentiuk, her parents, Stanley and Anna Henzel; her brother Steve Henzel, her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Kost Golowaychuk, and a brother in infancy. Mother was born in 1907, and immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1912 and settled in the Pansey area. She married Nick in 1923 and they farmed in the Trentham area for many years where they raised their family. She moved to Winnipeg in 1965, then to Transcona in 1967 where she spent the remainder of her life enjoying her bingo and the many friends she made over the years. Many thanks to the staff of Concordia Hospital and Dr. Husarewicz who looked after our baba. Also special thanks to Rose, Donna, and Darlene from home care for all their kindness to baba over the years. Prayers will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Funeral service is on Wednesday, June 26 at 10:20 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sarto with interment at the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ronnie Osadchuk, Clif Evans, Dale Osadchuk, Allen Verestiuk, Darren Osadchuk, and Calvin Osadchuk.
