PHYLLIS MAY LANCASTER (nee JEFFREY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis, the beloved wife and best friend of William on June 24, 2002 at the age of 85. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William; and by two sons, Gordon, wife Gabe and granddaughters, Tracy and Krista of Vancouver, BC; and Ron, wife Ann and grandson Scott of Winnipeg. Also left to cherish her memory is sister-in-law Jean Lancaster, nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear, wonderful friends who offered support over the years. Phyllis is the last of the Jeffrey family having been predeceased by her father and mother, William and Nellie Jeffrey; and by her brother David; and her sisters, Bea Wood and Irene Lelliott; two nephews, Donald and Martin Jeffrey; and by her sister-in-law Nora Taylor. Phyllis was born on Atlantic Avenue and lived there until her marriage to William. She attended Champlain, Luxton and St. Johns High School. Phyllis worked at Eatons before and after her marriage and made many friendships over the years, which carried on until her death. She especially enjoyed the Eatons Retirement Club and reminiscing with fellow co-workers. Cremation has taken place and following Phyllis wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in her memory, or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank all the nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care given to Phyllis and also for the support given to the rest of the family. With heavy hearts we saw you fading, But still hoping youd get well, Until that dreaded day arrived When you bid us all farewell. Life just hasnt been the same Since the day you passed away But with the hope of resurrection Well be together one day. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
