Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM HOWARD CHESTER On June 25, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre, with his family at his side, William Howard Chester passed away peacefully at the age of 76. Born in Transcona, Bill was one of five sons and five daughters. He was raised on the family dairy farm in Transcona and served with the Canadian Artillery in the Second World War. After being discharged in 1946, he worked as a steel rigger for Dominion Bridge. He returned to the Army in 1952 and served with the Canadian Provost Corps. in Korea and throughout Canada. Bill is survived by two brothers, John and Gordon; his four sons, William (Christie), Randy, Greg (Alberta) and Guy (Claudette) grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with interment at the Military Section, Transcona Cemetery, with Rev. Victoria Shaw officiating. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
