RANDELL DARRYL COLOMY 1957-2002 It is with sadness we announce, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, the peaceful passing of Randy, surrounded by family and friends on June 25, 2002 at the age of 44. Randy was born on November 30, 1957. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Alexina; and his niece Nicole Colomy. His memory will forever be cherished by Ewa Sanek, his loving companion and fiancee; his son David; daughters, Ashley and Chelsea. Randy is also survived by brothers, Ron (Sally), Rick; sisters, Vivian, Carol (Craig Henderson) nephews, Scott, Tyler, Darren (Sue), Cory (Heather) nieces, Sheri (Jason), Laura (Patrick) great-nephew Nathan; great-nieces, Nicole, Cassandra, and Marissa; and many cherished friends. Randy was employed at Bristol Aerospace for 16 years. He was a very active mason and Past Master of Empire Lodge 127. He was well respected and very dedicated to the Lodge and the Reserves. Randy served in the Canadian Forces Reserve, enrolling in The Fort Garry Horse in September 1978. Trained as a Reconnaissance Crewman, he rose to the rank of Master Warrant Officer. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration with clasp for long and honourable service and in 1992 was awarded the Canada 125 Medal for his significant contribution to the community. He will be remembered by all in the regiment for his wit, enthusiasm and his great dedication. He truly personified the motto of the Garrys: Facta Non Verba - Deeds Not Words. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to Palliative Care Unit and Cancer Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for all their kind attention and excellent care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Field of Honour Section. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randys memory to the CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
