HELEN KAMINSKY On Wednesday, June 26, 2002, with loved ones at her side, Helen peacefully went to her eternal reward in the arms of her Saviour. Helen was born in Winnipeg on December 13, 1933, the first born of Stephen Kaminsky and Frances Mariash. She leaves to mourn her passing her brothers and sisters, Mary Bertholet (Guy), Carl Kaminsky (Sheila), Anne Zoppa (Norman), Frank Kaminsky (Diane), George Kaminsky (Charlotte) as well as numerous nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Helen was educated at Holy Ghost School and St. Johns Tech. As a teenager she started working at Eatons where she worked until her retirement. Helen received her piano teachers diploma from the Toronto Royal Conservatory and taught piano for many years. She was a member of the Polish Sokol Choir and enjoyed performing, especially for Folklorama. Helens life was defined by her generosity, particularly toward her parents and other family members. Though she had no children of her own, she showered attention on her 23 nephews and nieces, never missing a birthday, graduation or special occasion. She was a favourite aunt, a good friend to many and her sincere interest in others will be sadly missed. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Helens life will be held on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with Fr. Gary Killen officiating and Deacon Alex Drobot assisting. Private interment will take place at a later date. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to Dr. Olweny and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their devoted and competent care.
