JANET GALBRAITH STEWART (nee JARDINE) Mother was born in Moosomin, SK on March 27, 1919 and lived in Winnipeg most of her life. She was born a sinner, but accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at the age of 22. On May 29, 1942 she married Norman Stewart. Together, on May 29, 2002, they celebrated 60 years of living for the Lord. Janet was predeceased by an infant son Douglas and is survived by her dear husband Norman; as well as her daughter Joan and husband Joseph Bowman; son David and his wife Beverley; her loving grandsons, John (Jeanie), Stephen (Charlene), Nolan, Peter and David. She is also survived by her special niece and nephew, Dona (Michael) Horwood and Harvey (Blanche) Steffensen; as well as numerous wonderful family members and dear friends. "Absent from the body and present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 June 22, 2002 Funeral services will be held at the West End Gospel Hall, Victor Street and Ellice Avenue, on Tuesday, July 2 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery following the service.
