GORDON LLEWELLYN HUDSON Gordon passed away June 22, 2002 at the Grace Hospital. He was born in Winnipeg on November 10, 1923. Gordon lived and worked in Winnipeg his entire life except for service in the R.C.A.F. He is survived by his son Gordon Alexander Hudson and daughter-in-law Brenda M. Hudson and family in Charleston and Columbia, NC; stepson David K. Fox-Decent; and sister-in-law Betty Kobold, both of Winnipeg. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Doris Campbell Hudson (1996) parents, Florence Woods Hudson and Alex Hudson; and brother Norman A. Hudson. Gordon retired from the City of Winnipeg Fire Department in 1977 after a career of 30 years. He and his wife enjoyed travel to western Canada and the United States. Also they enjoyed their cottage at Boundary Park (Winnipeg Beach). After his wifes death, Gordon spent winters with his family in South Carolina. Some of his happiest moments were visiting a very special friend Trula Catse in Camden, SC, and the family would like to thank her for her kindness. Gordon was a member of the International Association Of Firefighters Local 867, Winnipeg, MB. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses and staff at Grace Hospital. Cremation has taken place, with a private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice in Gordons memory.
