EVA MANTEY 1913 - 2002 Eva Mantey (nee Nikkel) of Morden, formerly of Plum Coulee, passed away on Wednesday June 26, 2002, at the Tabor Home, Morden. She is survived by her husband Robert Mantey of the Tabor Apts., Morden; daughter Norma and husband Don Wood of Morden; two granddaughters, Christine and Louis Hoeppner of Morden, Brenda and Dwayne Morrow of Carman; two grandsons, Robert and Lori Wood of Miami, Thomas Wood of Morden; two great-grandsons, Nikolas Wood and Dylan Hoeppner; three sisters, Olga and George Rempel of British Columbia, Agatha Wiebe of Calgary, AB, Agnes and John Kornelson of Steinbach; sisters-in-law, Anne Nikkel of Winnipeg, Agnes Nikkel of Steinbach, Gladys Nikkel of British Columbia; brother-in-law John Froese of Steinbach; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Erdman and Maria Nikkel; eight brothers, Ed, Pete, Henry, John, Jake, Herman, Dave, Abe; nine sisters, Tina, Annie, Elizabeth, Sara, Maria, Margaret, Helen, Suzie, Gertrude. Viewing will be at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 2, 11:00 a.m., Plum Coulee Bergthaler Mennonite Church, with Rev. Morris Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at the Plum Coulee Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Box 119, Winkler, MB, R6W 4A4, or to the Tabor Home Memorial Fund 230 9th St. S., Morden, MB, R6M 1Y3.
