Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER STEBELESKI It is with profound sadness and heartfelt sorrow that the family of Walter Stebeleski announces his peaceful passing at the age of 80 years at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Surrounded by his loving family, Walter began his journey to eternal life on Thursday, June 27, 2002. Walter was born in Olha, MB on July 16, 1921. He attended Marconi school. He spent the majority of his life on the family homestead where he enjoyed the company of family and friends. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Catherine; his brothers, Nick, Bill, Peter and Stanley; and his sisters, Julie Maydaniuk, Mary Prokopetz and Sophie Black. He is survived by his brothers, Sam and Matt, both of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Thank-you to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they gave to Walter these past six months. Special thanks to Father John Sianchuk and Father Nestor Yakiwchuk for the prayers they said for Walter to prepare him for his journey to Heaven. Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m. and funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olha, with Fr. Lehky officiating assisted by Michael and Heather Ryczak. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
