Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) DAVIDSON WEBSTER With sadness and love we announce the passing of John (Jack) Davidson Webster after a short illness on Friday June 28, 2002 in Toronto. Jack is loved and survived by his wife Marion; daughter Rosemary, son-in-law Dr. Mitch Vodrey and three grandsons, Drew, Chris and Matt. Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law, Norma Pennells and Beverly Forsyth and nephews, John Forsythe and Ron and Jane Forsyth. Jack honourably joined the service of his country in the Canadian army in the Second World War. Following the war he had a most prestigious career with the Metro Toronto Police Service. His career spanned an incredible 43 years and he retired as staff superintendent and a highly decorated officer in Canada. He had so many honourable achievements, one being the first Canadian President of a graduating FBI training class. Following his retirement, Jack went on to write his autobiography, fittingly titled "Copper Jack", which thoroughly traces his life and career. Jack then continued as historian of the Metro Toronto Police Museum and a brilliant and entertaining speaker about famous cases. Jack loved his wife Marion, his family, Metro Toronto Police Service and the City of Toronto.
