Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDEGARD MARTHA KEICHER (nee SCHEIBA) After a courageous battle with cancer, Hildegard Keicher, beloved wife of Stefan, passed away at the age of 64, at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, June 29, 2002. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Stefan; one son Garry (Nancy) and children, Stephanie and Scott) one sister Christa (Herbert) in Germany; stepchildren, Anita (Brent and children, Brendan, Mackenzie and Michael) and Ralph (Patty and children Karli and Amber) and many relatives in Germany. Hildegard was predeceased by her parents, Franz and Martha; brothers, Josef and Franz. Hildegard was born in Pastern, Germany on November 15, 1937. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1959 and was employed at Big 4 Sales for many years. During her life she enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and many handicrafts, which we will all enjoy for many years. She spent many happy times with family and friends at the Winnipeg Beach cottage. She loved to travel, especially to Germany, warm winter resorts and "Shooting Star". She was a longtime member of St. Josephs Parish, the Golden Age Club and enjoyed the clubs bowling league. She was also a member of International Kolping Society (St. Josephs). The family wishes to thank the doctors (especially Dr. Maksymiuk) and staff of CancerCare Manitoba and the Health Sciences Centre for all their loving care, compassion and support. Heartfelt thanks to all of our friends who provided a great deal of comfort during this difficult time. According to Hildegards wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St., with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Perrenas officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
