MARY WILGOSH (nee ZABOWSKI) September 2, 1922 - June 30, 2002 Our cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary Wilgosh, died at the age of 79, surrounded by those she loved. The memory of her kindness, gentleness and unfailing generosity lingers in the heart of her children, Ron (Margo) Wilgosh and Robert (Linda) Wilgosh; her grandchildren, Karen Bailey, Christine (Gary) Sorensen, Daniel (Patricia) Wilgosh, Kimberley (Jeff) Szyszkowski, and Jeff (Anna) Wilgosh; her great-grandchildren, Grant and Derek Sorensen, Samantha and Zachary Szyszkowski. Sharing in our loss and sadness are her sisters, Florence (Tony) Bosko, Frances Botchar; brother Ed (Wilma) Zabowski, brother-in-law Clifford Lane and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Wilgosh, sister Pearl Lane, and brother-in-law Stanley Botchar. Mom was born in Cooks Creek, MB and resided in Transcona until her move to Lions Manor in January. She celebrated her life with enthusiasm, remained fiercely independent until the end of her life and spoke kindly about everyone she knew. She had an amazing ability to collect friends and they added a special joy to her later years. Her love surrounds us still and we were blessed for having shared our lives with her. Prayers will be offered Wednesday evening, July 3 at 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Thursday, July 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 505 Brewster St. with Fr. Wenceslao Rebillaco officiating. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, R3T 9Z9. To those I love and those who love me I thank you for the love you each have shown, Tho you cannot see me or touch me, Ill be near, And if you listen with your heart you will hear, All of my love around you, soft and clear. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
