HELEN DOROTHY HOBDAY Peacefully in her sleep at Deer Lodge Centre on July 1, 2002. Helen, beloved wife of the late Ernie Hobday, cherished mother of Lynn Poeltl (Ontario) and Andrea Sabel (Winnipeg) and her sons-in-law, Richard and Gord. Loving and proud Grandma of Ric, Michael and David Poeltl and Marla and Chris Sabel. Helen was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed living with her families in Winnipeg and in Ontario over the past 10 years. She enjoyed many holidays with her families; holidays made more wonderful because she was a part of them. She participated in activities such as bridge and bowling, but her favourite activity was entertaining. She loved entertaining her friends and family and nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She always made everyone welcome. She, as a young person, enjoyed holidays with her family at Loni Beach. She was an excellent swimmer and speedskater. Later she was involved in volunteer work such as Meals on Wheels and friendly visitation in nursing Homes. Helen, you will be missed by all your friends and family most profoundly. A celebration of Helens life will be held at Sturgeon Creek United Church at 207 Thompson Dr., on July 5 at 11:30 a.m. Following a luncheon reception, the interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
