ROBERT GEORGE MAYER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Bob. Gone to join his father Barney, our family rejoices in his life and memory. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Emily; brother Ron; and nieces, Rhonda and Kerry; and nephew Dean. Bob was born at Winnipeg in 1949 and graduated from St. Boniface High School and went on to receive his B.A. at the University of Manitoba. He left in the mid-1970s to pursue his passion in archaeology and ultimately formed Heritage Consultants Inc. Bob was highly respected by his colleagues as well as by the leaders of various communities for his fair and ethical approach to dealing with sensitive heritage matters. Our family is touched by the outpouring of love and concern for Bob during his brief illness. In accordance with Roberts wishes, a private family service will be held in his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
