JEFFERY TERRENCE BALAN January 17, 1971 - June 30, 2002 Suddenly on June 30, 2002, Jeff left us. Jeff leaves us to remember and celebrate his life, parents, Les and Brenda Balan; brother Jayson (Stacey) Balan; and sisters, Gerri (Vern) Fridfinnson and Jodi (Jeev) Ramgotra. Also left to remember Uncle Jeff are his nieces and nephews, Jared and Jensen, and Justin, Jessica and Jayden. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother Ethel Jeffery and a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeffs very treasured longtime friend Maria Merrithew is also a part of the many people who will miss Jeff but remember their time spent together. In addition to Jeffs family there are a number of very special people from his "Alberta family". His friends and neighbours from Whitecourt have many fond memories of Jeff. Jeff was the guy who would help anyone in need. Roy and Joyce Goebel were especially close to Jeff and took him under their wing in both his personal and business lives. Jeff was raised in Warren, MB and attended both the elementary and high school there. He lived life to the very fullest and enjoyed extreme sports. Growing up he raced motocross and loved anything with speed. He had a great love for his bikes, trikes and sleds. Jeff tried his hand at a number of different jobs including owning his own stereo shop. In the past few years Jeff worked in the oil industry of Alberta. He was very proud of his business and shared the many events of his life with those he loved. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Community Hall. Interment will follow at St. Georges Cemetery Woodlands. Active pallbearers will be Jayson Balan, Chris Hofer, Darren MacMillan, Ross MacMillan, Vern Fridfinnson and Jeev Rangotra. All his friends should please consider themselves honorary pallbearers. IM FREE Dont grieve for me, for now Im free Im following the path God laid for me I took His hand when I heard Him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stand another day. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found that place at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I have missed. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savoured much. Good friends, good times, A loved ones touch. Lift up your heart and share with me God wanted me now, he set me free. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.

  • JEFF WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. HUNTING SEASON WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE TIMES OF THE YEAR. AS AGE TAKES OUR MOBILITY AWAY, JEFF WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO HUNT THE WAY HE WOULD HAVE LIKED. VENISON WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITES AND IT WAS ALWAYS OUR PLEASURE TO SHARE OUR HUNT WITH HIM WHEN HE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO. THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE FOND MEMORIES OF HIM, NOT YO MENTION THE LATE NIGHT "CHATS" WE WOULD SOMETIMES HAVE IN THE PUMP HOUSE. WISHING YOU HEARTFELT LOSS AND SYMPATHY AT THIS TIME OF SORROW. • Manewer piles jumped, gears grinded, and a blazer rolled. You might be part of the reason I am here today. May you always be airborne and your heart fly high. - Posted by: Tom chester (respectful friend) on: Dec 06, 2015
