STANLEY JOHN GACEK February 2, 1922 - July 3, 2002 Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, Stanley John Gacek passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Stan will be missed by his beloved wife and best friend Judy; sons. Gerald of California, Greg (Jackie) and Richard of Winnipeg; sisters, Sophie (Dr. Stephen) of Winnipeg and Lilly (Stanley) of Maryland; brothers, Wally (Frankie) of Calgary, Kaz (Angel Joyce) of Winnipeg and Ted (Daphne) of Colorado; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Bill and Louise Dawyduk and Ed and Eileen Duffy. He was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Maria. Stan was a kind, generous and fun-loving man with a heart of gold, who believed in the importance of family and friends and living life to its fullest. He retired from Allied Farm Equipment in 1982 and continued to lead an active and busy life. Stan and Judy enjoyed the cottage at Winnipeg Beach for many years with family and friends. He loved creating woodworking projects. Stans bird houses, doll houses and lawn chairs will be enjoyed by all for many years to come. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., with Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.,V.F. officiating. Following cremation, a private family burial will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Stans memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
