GEORGE REIMER Suddenly, on Tuesday, July 2, 2002, George Reimer passed away at the age of 50, while enjoying his favourite pastime - fishing. George was born in Chaco, Paraguay on January 10, 1952 to Peter and Katarina Reimer, the first of seven children. The Reimer family immigrated to Canada in 1971. George met and fell in love with Cynthia Fiala, and they were married on January 31, 1976. George worked at Western Egg Co. for over 20 years with his father-in-law Bob Fiala who loved him like a son. George continued his career at Burnbrae Farms where he was well liked by co-workers and all who knew him. He was hardworking and a good provider for his family. He enjoyed woodworking, working in his garden at the lake, and "Bannock Parties" with his "dad" Bob at the cottage. George leaves to mourn his loving wife Cindy, son Chris, daughter Gwen (Tim) and grandson Braeden, his mother Katarina Reimer; brothers, Fred (Anne), Tony (Erica), Eric (Ronalee) and sisters, Mika (Bill), Margaret (Rudolf) and Erika. He will also be missed by many relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8 at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Rev. Fr. Wencee officiating. Pallbearers are, Adrian Hiebert, Jason Reimer, David Friesen, Reinhold Sawatzky, Dwayne Meisner and Doug Gallant. Heartfelt thanks to all of you.
