ALICE ADELINE McGAULEY (CHARRIER) With family by her side, Alice McGauley, aged 85, peacefully passed away on July 3, 2002. She was born in Kelwood, MB on April 5, 1917, daughter of Jim and Alice Mason. In 1934 she married Raymond Charrier in Porcupine, SK. Together they raised three children, Raymond (Eileen), Carl (Helen) and Doris (Stan Burnette). After the death of her first husband in 1958, she married Ralph McGauley. She lived in the North Bay, ON area until 1987 when she joined her two sons in Riverton, MB. She was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters; husbands, Ray and Ralph; and her son Raymond in 1995. Grandma enjoyed knitting, crocheting and keeping up with hockey and baseball. She was always knowledgeable about current affairs and enjoyed voicing her opinions to those who stopped in to visit. Grandma was always ready for a good joke and even until the end remained witty and humourous. She will be missed by Carl and Helen, Ed and MaryAnn, Robert and Susan, Kevin and Sharon, Eileen, Doris and Stan, Brian, Anne and Tammy; as well as 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Special thanks to Dr. Chapnick, nursing staff of Johnson Memorial Hospital and the individuals from Riverton Home Care. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton Community Cemetery. Pastor Neil VonGunten will officiate. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
