JEAN FRANCES SCHEIDT (nee LOVE) February 3, 1928 - July 4, 2002 Passed away at the Salvation Army Agape Hospice in Calgary. Jean was born in Luseland, SK, where she received her education and started her banking career with the Royal Bank of Canada. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William (Bill) her son Daniel and daughter-in-law Erin Michie, grandson Dorian; her daughter Kathleen Elliott, granddaughter Marlisse and grandson Benjamin; her sister Doris Holton; her brother-in-law Bernard Brady; her sister-in-law Gladys Scheidt; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Hazel Love (Luseland, SK) her sisters, Elizabeth Brady and Muriel Love; her brothers-in-law, Jack Holton and Vernon Scheidt; her son-in-law Steven Elliott. Jean had a great love of family, friends and music. She sang in numerous church choirs, both accompanied and directed several church junior choirs, and also sang with the Richard Eaton Singers of Edmonton. She was a past president of the Womens Committee of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. She loved to entertain in her home where music and fun were the order of the day. A Memorial Service for Jean Frances Scheidt will be held at McDougall United Church, 8516 Athabasca Street SE, Calgary on Tuesday, July 9, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Bryan Derksen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, if desired, to the Hematology/Oncology Research and Education Fund, Room 681, Foothills Hospital, 1403 - 29 Street NW, Calgary AB T2N 2T9 or to the Salvation Army Agape Hospice, 1302 - 8th Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1B8.
