Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER TOBER November 23, 1953- July 4, 2002 Peacefully, on July 4, 2002, after a short, courageous struggle with cancer, Peter passed away at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 48. Peter will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and best friend, Lisa; sons, Alexander and Nicholas; parents Ed and Anna Tober; parents-in-law Nick and Jean Wolfe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Doris Wolfe of Calgary; and numerous, aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Peter grew up in West Kildonan, attending Garden City Collegiate, then the University of Manitoba where he completed his Bachelor of Art degree. In 1986, Peter moved to White Rock, BC, where he married Lisa and they had their two sons. They subsequently settled in Victoria, BC, until their recent return to Winnipeg. Peter worked as a general manager for many years and most recently held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Digital Content Factory until the onset of his illness. Peter was a dedicated friend, a good neighbour and possessed an intelligent wit and sense of humour. He loved cars, enjoyed NASCAR racing and was passionate about his 85 Mustang, which he worked on tirelessly. Special thanks to friends Kyle Rehill and Klaus Thiessen for "being there" throughout Peters illness and to Peters cousin, Eric, for his constant love and support. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Mulder, Diane and the rest of the staff on 3E for their care and compassion during Peters stay. Cremation to take place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so wish, they may make a memorial donations to the Tober Trust Fund, in care of Scotiabank, 4910 Roblin Blvd, Winnipeg, MB, R3R 0G7, in support of the boys education.
