CHARLES FRANCIS WOODWARD March 28, 1915 - July 4, 2002 Peacefully on Thursday July 4, 2002, surrounded by his loving family, Charles passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. Charles is survived by his daughter Charlin McFee; son Graydon (Tamara) granddaughters, Erin (Jack) and Krystal; grandsons, Grady and Chayse; great-granddaughter Sydney. He was predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Agnes; sisters, Helen Taylor and Ella Leeson; brother Albert Nugent. Dad was born in Winnipeg and raised by his grandparents, Jemima and Francis Arnold. He spent his early adult years as a leader with the Stella Mission where he established many long lasting friendships and cherished memories which he fondly shared with his family. Dad worked as a leather cutter cutting gloves with Perfect Fit Glove Manufacturers and then shoes with Greb Shoes Ltd. He retired from Greb Shoes in 1978 and returned to Perfect Fit Gloves where he worked part-time until 1982. Dad was a tenacious and gentle man. He gave us his unconditional love and supported and encouraged us in all we tried to do. He was always available to listen and provide guidance to us when needed. He was a wonderful and loving Dad, Grandpa and Sydneys Pa Pa and we will dearly miss him. A special thank you to the wonderful staff on Oak Unit at Fred Douglas Lodge for their kindness and the outstanding care given to our Dad. As our Dad requested, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Should friends desire, donations may be made to The Manitoba Riding for the Disabled, 200 Main St,, Winnipeg, R3C 4M2 or the Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave., Winnipeg, R2X 0B8.
