BRENDA LOU COURCHENE (nee TWOHEART) January 18, 1961 - July 5, 2002 After a lengthy battle with cancer, on Friday, July 5, 2002 at the Pine Falls Hospital, Brenda left to be with her Creator. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Paul, her children, Nicole (Nolan), Kevin (Francine), Renee (Fabian), Chasity, Sterling, Lance, and Bambi; as well as her grandchildren, Alexis, Junior, Angel, Serene, and Layton. Also surviving is her father Alex Twoheart, her sisters, Mildred, Della (Ralph), Darlene (Melvin), Debra, and Corrine; her brothers, Gerald (Linda), Garry (Janet), Earl (Colleen), Keith, Randy (Bertha), Marlon (Vanessa), and Reuban (Geraldine) special brothers, George Abraham and Bill (Flip) Abraham; special sisters, Caroline Morrisseau and Marge Seymour; two aunts, Therese Courchene and Frances Boubard; and her uncle Melvin Bird; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and relatives. Brenda was predeceased by her mother Ida Elsie Twoheart (June 28, 1991), her sisters, Marlene Maria Twoheart (September 26, 1987), and Jeanie Mary Twoheart; her nephews, Kerry Twoheart and Joseph Twoheart; as well as infants, Jesse Twoheart and Lawrence Alexander. The family of Brenda Lou Courchene would like to thank Dr. Van Dyk of the Pine Falls Hospital and Dr. Turkey of the Womens Hospital as well as the nurses and support staff of the Pine Falls and Womens Hospitals and finally to the Ft. Alexander Home and Community Care program for the wonderful care given to Brenda. Wake services will be held at House #563 North Shore, Sagkeeng First Nation. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Alexander Roman Catholic church, Ft. Alexander, MB with Fr. Laval Cloutier officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be her brothers, Garry Twoheart, Earl Twoheart, Keith Twoheart and her brother-in-law, Clifford Courchene, Joseph Courchene, and Kurt Courchene.
