LUCIE VOTTO (nee COTE) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lucie Votto on July 7, 2002, beloved wife of the late Emile Votto, at the age of 89 years. Lucie was born on February 28, 1913 in the city of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by sisters, Rose, Annette, Corana, Rita, Rolande; and brothers, Pierre and Edmond. Lucie leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, children, Roger (Karen), Anita (Gary), Larry (Maureen), Norbert (Diane). She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, Simon, Jim (JoElle), Krista, Lea, Clayton (Kelly), Ashley, Amber, Kelly (Gail), and Kerri (Rich) and also two great-grandsons, Jude and Joshua. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Denise and Rachelle; also one brother Edouard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her love, kindness and generosity will be greatly missed. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Prayers will be held this evening, Wednesday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. from Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 rue Des Meurons. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one-half hour prior to mass from leglise St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd., with Fr. Marcel Toupin officiating. Interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gerald Fontaine, Richard Boux, Eliane Carmel, Kelly Votto, Ashley Votto and Clayton Votto.
