Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRMA GLUCK Irma Gluck passed away on Friday, July 5, 2002 at the Red River Lodge in Morris, MB at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1986; her sister Bertha in 1964; her brother Reinhold in 1979; and she is survived by her children, Paul (Gwen) of Gimli, MB, Terry of Regina, SK, Larry (Margaret) of Lowe Farm, MB; and three grandchildren, Eric, Heidi and Courtney. Irma was born on December 7, 1912 in Poland, and in 1930 immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings. She settled with her family in the Graysville area and worked on her parents farm until her marriage to Roy on June 5, 1940. They farmed until 1971, when they retired to Morris. Irma gained employment at the Red River Lodge as a cook and the residents and staff there were often treated to Irmas baking creations, especially the wonderful cinnamon buns! In 1981 Irma suffered severe burns as a result of a fire in the kitchen at home while making jam. She returned to work and then retired in 1985. Roy passed away in 1986 and Irma continued to live in her house until 1997 when she moved to the Prairie View Apartments in Lowe Farm. In June, 1999 she moved to the Red River Valley Lodge and resided there until her passing. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the Morris United Church with Jeanette Brigit officiating. Interment at the Morris Cemetery. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, July 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Morris Funeral Home and at the church prior to the service.
