ANN SMITH Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2002 at Lions Manor Nursing Home. Ann was born on November 1, 1921 in Meleb, MB. She met her husband Charles at Winnipeg Beach and married in 1941. Ann worked at Perth Services for over 30 years. Ann was blessed with a kindness and gentleness that she shared with everyone that knew her. Her greatest satisfaction was family gatherings at home and at the cottage. Her love of cooking was shared by all. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Florence; her two sons, David and Norm and their families; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as by her two sisters, Lena and Nellie. Ann was predeceased by her mother Maria; and father John; husband Charles; brothers, Dan, Harry, Mike, Nick; and sister Kay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing one-half hour prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Norm Smith, Brendan Smith, Richard Hebert, Cory Hebert, and Craig Hebert. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Lions Manor for their compassion and care.
