PAULINE ADOLFSON (nee POPOWICH) 1913 - 2002 It is with great sadness, after a short illness, that we announce the peaceful death of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Pauline Adolfson on July 6, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Pauline, aged 89 years, leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, David (Georgina) of Anola, MB, Wayne (Jean) of Winnipeg; four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Heather (Greg) Guillou, Daniel (Tammie) Adolfson, Kelly (Randy) Onysko, Keenan (Monika) Adolfson all of Winnipeg; six great-grandchildren, who were very precious to her and whom she enjoyed being around and receiving hugs and kisses from, Hayley, Trevor and Timothy Guillou, and Carl, Steven and Quinn Adolfson. Pauline is also survived by her sisters, Nellie Popoff, Pearl Stolar and Dorothy Neilson of Vancouver, BC, whom she always enjoyed visiting with, Maggie (Joe) Simair of McNutt, MB; brothers, Mike Popowich of Yorkton, SK, Alvin Popowich of Lethbridge, AB; sister-in-law Mary Popowich of Yorkton, SK; and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Oscar, son Alvin and daughter Diana McGiffin. Pauline was a longtime resident of the Anola area. She enjoyed her many years farming along with her husband Oscar, until his death in 1965. She then worked at the St. Boniface Hospital, Housekeeping Department, until her retirement. Pauline took great delight in her flower gardens, which she fussed over and derived much satisfaction watching her flowers grow. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service for Pauline will take place on Saturday, July 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the Worldwide Church of God, located at 50 Barnes St., south of Bison Drive, in Winnipeg, MB.
