DONALD HUBERT MacKAY April 12, 1913 - July 9, 2002 Born in Elmwood area of Winnipeg. Don left us peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Tuesday morning, July 9, 2002. Don is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Anne; his daughter Barb and son-in-law Steve Urias; grandchildren, Stephen (Mindy Epp) Urias and Lisa (Lance) Ludwig; and great-grandson Noah Ludwig. Don was employed in the seed business serving McKenzie Seeds / Steele Briggs for over 50 years as sales manager. Don was very active in church supporting St. Cuthberts, St. Chads and St. James Anglican Churches. In recent years he attended St. Stephens. His faith was important throughout his life. Don was proud to be a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge No. 111 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He served as Master (1954) and as District Deputy Grand Master (1957/58). Don was a member of the Sons of Scotland and the Royal Order of Scotland. He was a founding member of the "Every Second Tuesday Breakfast Club". The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Concordia Hospital and Home Care for their outstanding compassionate efforts. A special thank you to Sid Clarke for friendship and caring. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. Rev. Donna Mahussuer will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Acacia Masonic Lodge. In addition, Dons Masonic Lodge Acacia No. 111 will provide a Masonic service; regalia should be worn.
