DOUGLAS PLANT Passed away suddenly on July 8, 2002 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 82 years. Doug was a longtime resident of Winnipeg and retired to Abbotsford in the early 1980s. Doug was a veteran of the Second World War, serving six years in the Royal Canadian Artillery. Doug was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen (Kae) and daughter Brenda. He is survived by his granddaughter Allison Granger; and great-granddaughters, Katie and Kristen of Calgary, AB; his sisters, Verna Hagyard and Audrey McGill of Brandon, MB; and many nieces and nephews in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home in Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Foundation. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
