NORMAN SIGURJON BALDWINSON Suddenly at his residence, Norman Sigurjon Baldwinson passed away on Monday, September 9, 2002. Norm was predeceased by his wife Joan in 1996; his father Herbert and mother Valdheidur; sisters, Alice Snorrason and Colly Brynjolfson; brother Rodney and sister-in-law Gaylene. He is survived by one sister Maria Sigurgeirson (Bill) of Riverton; brothers, Baldwin (Isabel) and Neil (Marilyn), both of Gimli; and brother-in-law Grimsi Brynjolfson, also of Riverton; sister-in-law Shirley (Allan) MacFarlane of Gimli; and brother-in-law Morley (Marg) Stefanson of Chicago; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Norm was a lifelong resident of Riverton and was a commercial fisherman on Lake Winnipeg. He was in partnership with his brother Baldi known as Baldwinson Bros. or the B.B.s. Joan and Norm had many wonderful years together. Travelling to Las Vegas was always a highlight, which they enjoyed with their friends. Norm was an avid sports fan and loved music and singing. He devoted much of his life to his cat "Pepsi." In accordance with Norms wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A memorial reception will be held in Norms memory at the Riverton Fellowship Circle on Tuesday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverton Cemetery Fund or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3.
