MICHAELA (MIKEY) COCKBURN (nee WELLS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michaela (Mikey) Cockburn (nee Wells) suddenly, but peacefully, at home on Monday, July 8, 2002. Michaelas inspiration and guiding light will be sadly missed by all those who knew her and loved her. She is survived by husband Jim; daughter Erin Lee with son-in-law Terry, grandson Devon and granddaughter Teya; daughter Shannon Lynn with grandson Jacob; daughter Ryan Ann, and son Jeffrey. Michaela is also survived by brother Steve with wife Betty and nephew Scott; sister Terri with husband Kirk and nieces, Kara and Amy and nephews, Ryan and Tyler; many other close friends and family. Visitation was conducted at Ralph Day Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the same location at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michaelas name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Sleep tight and know we love you and miss you until we see you again

Mommy, I love you sooooo much and I miss you every day more and more. You are always on my mind and heart. You touched everyones lives you entered and were a very special kind of woman and mother. There is not,and never will be, another mother in the world that will ever compare to you. You were so strong. So loving and kind. You saw the good in everyone even when it seemed there was no good to see.You guided and took so many troubled kids and teens under your wing and never had a negative bone in your body. I cannot say that I am not angry that God chose to take you fromm us so suddenly. As I have grown over thew years and now have children of my own, it saddens me deeply that you were not ABLE TO BE HERE IN SHARING WITH THEIR LIVES. My oldest girl, Michaela,who is of course named after you Mom, and it is a big name to live up to,is 9. She is beautiful, intelligent, funny, charasmatic,and a kind soul much like you Mom. Emily is 7. She is also beautiful,kind hearted and soft like you. Teaghin is 4 and he is the sweetest little boy you could ever meet. He always has a smile and a hug for you and I know if you were here,You would have tons of hugs for him too. Matthew is with you. His passing broke my heart in so many ways.It broke me. It made me question my faith, as your passing did as well. But he's with you.
