GARY WILFRED GAUTHIER Peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 11, 2002, Gary passed away at home. Gary was fondly referred to "Gatch" and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Susan and son Keith, as well as his extended family. A thank-you to the heartfelt staff of Unit 3E at Riverview Health Centre, with special thanks to Amber, his homecare worker and friend, and Sharon his in-home nurse. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 14, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Kerrs Funeral Chapel. Funeral service also to be held on Monday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. with The Rev. John Holmen officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Gatchs memory to The Palliative Care Unit, Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 2P4. FOOTSPRINTS IN THE SAND One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints and noticed that many times along the path there was only one set of footprints in the sand. He also noticed that this happened during the lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him, so he questioned the Lord, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow, you would walk with me all the way, but I noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I dont understand why, when I needed you the most, you deserted me." The lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Kerrs Funeral Chapel 120 Adelaide Street943-6688
