Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE DOREEN HAVARD (nee ADAMS) It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Florence Havard on July 8, 2002, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 90, with her family at her side. Predeceased by her husband Wally in 1973, she will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Bob; daughters, Estelle (Greg) Forster and Jean (Bob) Harcus; grandsons, David, Zenon and Glen Forster, Bill, Hugh and Wesley Harcus; sisters, Chris Findlater, Dorothy Pearce, Amy McKague and Joyce (Morris) Deveson; sister-in-law Bonny Haines; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Jack, Charlie, Bill and Tom; and three sisters, Inez, Marjorie and Estelle. Florence was born March 4, 1912, the eldest of 12 children, and raised in Gilbert Plains. She obtained her teaching certificate and taught in numerous rural Manitoba schools. She especially enjoyed teaching music. She married Walter Havard in Flin Flon on April 7, 1942, and artistically created a loving home in which to raise her children. Florence was a kind, generous person who loved her family and through her lifetime had many close friends and neighbours because of her open and friendly manner. She loved curling and was proud to have been a member of St. Vital Curling Club well into her 80s. She enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage, gardening, berry picking, making jelly and playing her piano. In accordance will her wishes, no funeral service will be held. In keeping with her generous nature, she has donated her body to medical science. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Florences memory to a charity of ones choice.
