REGINALD MCKERNAN Reginald McKernan (R.C.M. Police, Superintendent, retired) passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on July 6, 2002, in West Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his loving wife Betsy (Lilian Margaret Gowans) in 1995. Survived by his children, Michael (Merrell-Ann Phare), Patrick (Lucille), Geraldine (Christopher Freund), Dennis (Nana), Maureen, Kevin (Dana Maida) and Timothy (Linda) and nine grandchildren. He will be fondly missed by his dear friend Bunny Chapple and brother Frank in Toronto and his good friend Allyn Bruce of North Vancouver. Born in Toronto, ON, he joined the force in 1941 and served proudly for 35 years in British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered for his strong faith, integrity and charm. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Hollyburn House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, North Shore Branch, 600 West Queens Rd., North Vancouver, BC, V7N 2L3. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10 and funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 12 at St. Edmunds Catholic Church, 545 Mahon St., North Vancouver. Reception to follow.
