JOHN (JACK) SWAIN After a courageous battle with heart and kidney disease John (Jack) Swain, beloved husband of Mary, passed away on July 14, 2002 at the Carman Memorial Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Gordon (Darlene) daughter Dianne Chatwin (Brian Burrows) and grandchildren, Harley and Andy Swain, Matt and Meghan Chatwin and little great-grandson Bryce who could always cheer up grandpa. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and his carpenter buddy Bill (Fran) Nielsen and all his friends he made in the span of his 78 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Alice Swain, as well as a brother Dick (Gladys) Swain. He was always there for us and we will miss him greatly. A private burial will be held from the Sperling Cemetery, Sperling, MB. If friends wish in lieu of flowers they can make a donation to the Kidney Foundation 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8 or to the Palliative care Unit at Carman Memorial Hospital. The family wish to thank Dr. Metcalfe, nurses and staff for their care and concern for Jack as well as the family. Also thank you to Dr. Verrilli for his care and help over the last four years.
