ALICE W. PERRY Peacefully, on July 14, 2002, Alice Perry passed away at the age of 96. She was pre-deceased by her husband Ottie in 1974. Alice is survived by her son Leo (Florence) and family; daughters, Hazel (Allan) Brock, Phyllis (Gerry) Leaman and family; grand-children, Grant Brock and Arlene (Terry) Genik. Also surviving are sister Marion Mitchell and brother Hugh (Annie) Bond. She will also be sadly missed by special friend Donna Volkar. Alice was born and raised in Nova Scotia and moved to Winnipeg with her husband in 1961 where they resided with Hazel and Allan. She enjoyed camping and summers at the cottage in Matlock. Alice will be fondly remembered for her many beautiful afghans and the many mittens that kept little hands warm. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Tuxedo Villa. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Sturgeon Creek United Church Memorial Fund, 207 Thompson Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3E2, or to a charity of choice. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 3:00 p.m. at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. A reception will follow at the church.
