HENRY J. PETERS Henry J. Peters of Blind Bay, BC, passed away suddenly at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC, on July 10, 2002, at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his two brothers, Jake (Agnes) Peters, Calgary, AB and Abe (Ann) Peters, Winnipeg, MB; and two sisters, Cathy Pries, Winnipeg, and Martha (Henry) Fast, Winnipeg. He is also survived by his first wife Mary, Calgary, mother of his five daughters, Linda Baker, Banff, AB, Leona Peters, Dorothy Peters, and Karen Peters, all of Calgary, and Valerie (Bill) Manes, Acton, ON. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Warren and Holly Thomson, Calgary, Ryan Baker, Langley, BC, Kyle Baker, Banff, Brett and Terresa Manes, Acton. He is also survived by his second wife Marie Peters, Blind Bay, BC and his two stepchildren, John Crawford, Toronto, ON and Corinne Crawford, Calgary. He worked in the construction industry from the early 1950s, started his own construction business in late 1960s and worked until his death. He was an active member in the First United Church in Salmon Arm, BC. He was actively involved in the Kiwanis Club of Salmon Arm. His love of life touched many people. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity Canada, 40 Albert St., Waterloo, ON N2L 3S2, in trust for Salmon Arm and Shuswap, BC, or to the MacKenzie Camp Society, P.O. Box 46, Salmon Arm, BC V1E 4N2. Funeral services were held at First United Church in Salmon Arm, on Sunday, July 14 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mennonite Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, on Wednesday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m.
