MICHAEL GILLESPIE Passed away suddenly, July 10, 2002, in Victoria, BC. Michael was born May 14, 1965, in Winnipeg, MB. He completed his basic schooling in Creston, BC, and took a variety of courses through the College of the Rockies and the Athabasca University. He was fortunate to be able to use his many skills and talents in a variety of occupations. Michael was known for his sense of humour and was a friend to anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taxidermy and spending time with family and friends. He brought joy to many lives and was particularly generous with young people. Michael is survived by his parents, Oakley and Karen Gillespie of Yellowknife, NT; his sisters, Michele Kemle of Creston, BC, and Melanie Gillespie of Calgary, AB; his grandmother Edith Hodgson of Carmen, MB; his aunts and uncles, Ellen (Dick) McKenzie, Jean (Gerald) Cromarty of Selkirk, MB, Clint Hodgson of Brandon, MB, and Kevin Hodgson of Edmonton, AB. He enjoyed a special bond with his niece and nephew, Heather and Brenton Kemle of Creston, BC, as well as numerous cousins. We all have different journeys Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay ... Our destination is a place Far greater than we know, For some, the journeys quicker, For some the journeys slow. A private ceremony will be held by the family at a future date. If desired, memorial tributes may be made to any BC Fish or Wildlife Association, Creston Valley Advance, Creston, BC.
