RICARDO ABENOJAR DAMSEL Tuesday, July 22, 1919- Friday, July 12, 2002 Entered into his eternal rest, on Friday, July 12, 2002, at the Riverview Health Centre, Ricardo Abenojar Damsel, aged 82 years, dearly beloved husband of Rita. Besides his loving wife Rita; Ricardos memory will be forever cherished and sadly missed by his children, and their respective families; Edith, Peter, Pricsilla, Pearl, Eric, and Melanie; Armando, Arlene, Ricardo, Kevin, and Ompang; Cornelio, Shirley, Teban, Kiko, and Cobie; Dadick, Mely, Geraldine, RJ, and Grace; Emma, Toto, and Emeline; Anne, Jos, and Julia; all of Winnipeg. He also leaves his children and their respective families in The Philippines; Ricardo Jr., Imelda, Consuelo, Dominggo, Aries, Erwin, Empoy, Jonalyn, Ivy, Richard, Mark, Michael, Marion, Tesa, Cherry, Angela, Anne, Jeffrey, Joan, and James. Ricardo was born in Caba, The Philippines and was known as the "Best Home Made Ice Cream Maker" in Pasig, Manila. He also served in the Reserved Forces during the Second World War. Lamay will be held on Thursday, July 18 (prayer vigil at 8:00 p.m.) and Friday, July 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, both nights, at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St., with Rev. Fr. Vicente L. Tungolh presiding. Ricardo will be returned to his homeland in The Philippines for burial at a later date. Active pallbearers will be messers; Cris Javier, Cris Pangilinan, Nesty Parcero, Mario Panganiban, Richard Manalo, and Howel Manalo. The family at this, the saddest time in our lives, would like to extend their sincere thanks, and appreciation to the Stepdown Staff at the Health Sciences Centre, and the "West Wing" staff at the Riverview Health Centre.
