ROBERT JEAN-MARIE LORTEAU After a long and brave battle with cancer, peacefully and with his wife by his side, Roberts struggle finally ended on July 12, 2002, at the age of 54 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved wife of 31 years, Angela, daughter Brenda, son Cory (Lisa), and adored grandson Alexavier Robert. Robert also leaves behind many brothers and sisters and extended family. Robert was born in St. Labre, Woodridge. He started his family in Winnipeg and until his illness forced an early retirement, was a loyal employee of Borland Industries. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Viewing will be held one-half hour prior to service. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Our family gives special thanks to Dr. James Johnson, Giselle, Allison and the "chemo girls" from CancerCare and staff of GD3 and GD4, all for their outstanding care and attention. Dad fought a courageous battle right until the end. In honour of his fight, and in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in his memory to CancerCare at HSC.
